Both referees have worked tirelessly over the years to ensure that the refereeing arm in North Queensland continues to develop. Lo Grande has served as the Director of Referees in North Queensland since 2001 and now also sits on the State and National Referee Coaching Panel's. He is also part of the Queensland Referee Management Team where he holds the Coaching & Assessment portfolio. Serrurier has been involved with the Regional Coaching Panel for several years and more recently has made the move to coaching at a State Level. Both are also involved in the Hurricanes Junior Referee Development Squad program established by NQ Touch in 2011.

For both referees, it's not the first time they have been rewarded for their commitment to the sport, with Serrurier being awarded Life Membership of the Townsville Touch Referees Association in 1997 and Lo Grande receiving Life Membership of the Gordonvale Touch Association in 2006 and the North Queensland Touch Association in 2012.

The North Queensland Touch Association would like to sincerely thank both Darryl and Joe on their commitment and dedication to the sport of Touch Football in North Queensland and look forward to working with them for many more years to come.
