The team, led by captain Andrew Searle and coach Shane Laskey, returned to the winners list again after their unbeaten run of six consecutive titles was brought to an end last year in Townsville.
In a hard fought final, a re-focused Northern side came home with the goods, fending off rivals South Coast for a 5-4 victory.
