Friends and family of former North Queensland representative player Glen "Rambo" Ramsay, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer with metastasis to the other lung, mediastinal lymph node and bones, are asking for you support to help offset the costs of his treatment (approximately $65,000), which is only available in Germany.

Further treatment for Rambo's condition is not available in Australia and, in order to beat it, he must travel to the Hallwang Private Oncology Clinic in Germany.

Scans have shown that Rambo now has a tumour on his spine compressing his spinal cord and, without treatment (the cost of which could increase, depending on how he responds to the initial treatment), he could become a paraplegic within six months.

Rambo's friends have banded together to help him and his family fund-raise enough money to offset the costs of his treatment in Germany.

Friends of Rambo have set-up a website in order to raise awareness of Rambo's condition, and spread the word about our fundraising initiatives.
