The update workshop was run in conjunction with the NQ Junior Regional Touch Football Championships, which allowed referees from across the region to attend.

Facilitated by National Referee’s Panel member and Regional Referee’s Director, Joe Lo Grande, the group of some of the North’s senior referees were taken through the format for the new Level Two Referee course, which is shortly to be released by Touch Football Australia, and given an overview of the upcoming Level Three Referee course.

Presenters across the region are now working on updating their accreditations, in-line with Touch Football Australia requirements, in order to be able to present the new suite of courses.

As part of the North Queensland Touch Association’s commitment to the development of the sport of Touch Football, and in particular the Referee’s technical arm, the region will this weekend be conducting a Course Presenter’s and Referee Coaches course in Townsville, with over 20 of the region’s experienced coaches and referee’s in attendance.
